A PATHWAY TO THE EARTHLY HEAVEN THE REDEEMER

(RULE)___THE DESTINED FUTURE (HSPs)

“An individual must remain at its Highly Specified Position, as organized by nature.”

Have you seen your fingers? Have you ever pondered what would happen if all were of the same length? What about your heart? If one day it stopped pumping to demand some time to relax, what would your condition be? If suddenly one day you observed a male duck sitting on the eggs due to a protest by the female duck to have some time to freely move here and there, what would your reaction be?

Nature has a complex system in place that ensures smooth functioning. As diverse as the tasks are, so diverse are the performers. Even the efficiency differs from one to the other. The thing to note is that the task and its associated performer are integrated, or in other words, the performer has a built-in capacity and affinity towards that task (this is indeed the majority case; for the rest, guidance and their own history and experiences reveal the right task). Any misadventure has adverse and long-lasting consequences. This actually is the basis of the Elastic limit of nature, i.e. how far a society can afford these consequences before there is a scar of irreparable damage.

Highly specified positions (HSPs)

The set position of an individual as assigned by nature in such a way that any artificial change can cause long-lasting adverse effects on the society

These include gender, interest level in various domains, sexual orientation, capability level, threshold or peak endurance level etc.

Gender, i.e. assigned by nature; interest level, i.e. the affinity towards any task; sexual orientation, i.e. the nature of engagement with the partner; capability level, i.e. the abilities by birth (which may need attention to flourish); Endurance level, i.e. the amount of societal stress that can be borne without psychological stress/pressure etc. HSPs are the inherent, built-in capacities of an individual. Now, how are they recognized? The general ones are assessed by norms (i.e. what the human race has practised for thousands of years and has always proved the same), while the ones that depend highly on a person’s own personality are determined by his sincere relations (i.e. the sincere people around him). A violation of an HSP means going against the norms that preserve human integrity (i.e. the ones that the human race has tested and kept for thousands of years); in matters that concern only a minority, the person is persuaded through guidance.

When is intervention allowed?

An intervention is only allowed in specific emergency circumstances and in specific areas, done by the society itself (not on an individual’s own initiative), for the benefit of other members. Such an emergency arises when a shortage in one of the NEPs puts other members at risk (as in the example below, i.e. a lack of doctors); the decision is taken by the capable governing individuals (see POWER STRUGGLE AND ITS PREVENTION), and persuasion is the means used.

Note: This will be done while keeping in view the Elastic limit of nature.

Let’s take an example to understand this procedure:

If a child is interested in working as a solicitor but there is a shortage of medical officers for an effective Health Care system, then the society can intervene to persuade him by providing psychological support so that the child voluntarily changes his preferences (this must be done by keeping in view the Endurance level of the child) and abandons the other option (i.e. to work as a solicitor).

Elastic limit of nature

The maximum stress that can be accepted by nature before imparting lethal consequences that are either prolonged or virtually irreversible

To understand this, we must divide it into two scenarios, i.e. Societal (intra-societal) and Surrounding (by considering society as one unit).

For the intra-societal case, we can define it by the SHOCK AND PAD Theory:

Shock and Pad Theory

It states that:

In a society, whenever a major natural phenomenon is violated, there is a production of shock waves that propagate and lead to destabilization, and eventually the system collapses if there is no appropriate strategy to either fix the source or absorb the subsequent disturbance by padding or foaming.

The major natural phenomena include HSPs, as directly controlled by nature, and moral, ethical and obligatory values as indirectly controlled ones (this perspective is highly debatable, but in reality, the core values are universal; anyhow, we will be focusing on HSPs for now to make things easier, but by the end of the day these rules will make every aspect clear (particularly UNABATED WITNESS IS THE PROOF and THE EQUILIBRIUM OF DESIRE AND NECESSITY) in such a way that all doubts are removed).

As discussed earlier, society is like a bunch of long, stretched iron chains, and the most basic unit is the ring (individual). Whenever there is a violation of a major natural phenomenon by an individual (ring), shock waves are produced (violent vibration of the ring) that travel all the way through the surroundings, and the integrity of the system is challenged. More and more vibrators suggest a more destabilized society. With no proper engagement, the society undergoes disintegration, and eventually the system collapses with time, depending on the intensity of the disturbance. This point of no return refers to the Elastic limit for the intra-societal case. Just think of its warning signs: rising crime, the formation of rival dominating groups, a collapse of trust, and more and more people unable to meet their NEPs; its measure is the Participation to Burden ratio of the society, which falls towards zero as this point nears (see THE UNJUSTIFIED BURDEN AND ITS IMPLICATIONS). (In practice, these signs, along with the Participation to Burden ratio, can be combined into one warning index calculated every year; a sharp rise in this index warns that the elastic limit is near.)

Vibrators, Amplifiers and Absorbers

In this whole process, the individuals that are violating HSPs are the vibrators, i.e. those producing the disturbance, while the individuals that are exaggerating the effect are the amplifiers, i.e. the individuals that are already a burden on the society (for detail, see the section on the unjustified burden and its implications). Absorbers are those with increased participation, i.e. the ones surpassing their own burden (basically due to a High Endurance level). Amplifiers spread the shock further because, already being a burden, they add their own disturbance to it; absorbers calm it, because they bear the shock without passing it on (their high endurance lets them bear the stress). To understand this, let’s take an example of a family: when one member abandons his role (a vibrator), a member who is already dependent adds to the strain (an amplifier), while a caring member bears the strain and keeps the family calm (an absorber). (In practice, the spread of such a shock can be studied by mapping who depends on whom in a society (i.e. the chains) and then simulating how a disturbance travels along them; the amplifiers and absorbers show up on such a map.)

Now, what is padding?

The instruments that are employed to reduce the societal agitation are the Pads, while the process of their deployment is called padding or foaming. Pads that are prevalent in our society are Wealth, Entertainment and Mental satisfaction (which can be illusory).

Regardless of the debate as to which Pads are the most efficient ones and must be employed, we will proceed with the discussion using the established predominant standard witnessed today. The reason is to understand why the societies with high HSP violation are still making both ends meet. Also, in an ideal society, such great distress does not exist, so there is no need to manage such an extensive engagement mechanism to sustain the society.

The administration of these Pads is itself not lethal, but the point of concern is the way this is done and their desperate need to sustain the society. This has led to the stealing of these Pads (Wealth, being a mobile form, is the main instrument in this regard, while the other two are then artificially administered by various means) (this stealing is not only due to a deficit; a disturbed desire to necessity equilibrium is among the chief causes, along with a disturbed Participation to Burden ratio; these will be discussed later, so keep on reading) from the underprivileged by devising a system of dominance that is based on inequality and oppression. To understand this, let’s take an example of a family in which the father and mother keep quarrelling (i.e. HSP violation within the family); this leads to their dissatisfaction and sleeplessness, and then, instead of fixing the source, they get money and try to satisfy themselves by booking solo trips, buying brand-new things and so on. Likewise, a society with high HSP violation is so disturbed that it tries to satisfy its members with Pads, and as these Pads are not enough within itself, it steals them from other societies (mainly in the form of wealth). (In practice, this can be measured by how much of the NEPs a society is producing and how much of it is being exported, i.e. a society that exports a large share of its NEP production while its own NEPs remain unmet is being drained of its Pads.) The problem with this system is that it can never provide prosperity to human civilization as a whole. It’s just like a mega-parasitic relationship with beneficiaries and sufferers at each level (this is true within the society and also among different societies). If we want to normalize things for everyone, we must first abandon HSP violation, while a strict accountability procedure must be adopted for the stealers of Pads (i.e. the other societies refuse to accept their discriminatory policies) (if they are not allowed to have discriminatory policies, then they will ultimately suffer, and either they will abandon HSP violation or risk a total collapse).

Now, let us specify the Elastic limit for the Surrounding (i.e. with regard to societal interaction with the environment).

Limits for Human intervention

Humans are different from other species; we are given some authority by nature to do things for ourselves in a way other species cannot. We must not abuse this authority. Whenever we do something that imparts a stress on the natural system, there is always a limit. Exceeding this limit causes us to bear revenge from nature (a glimpse of how things should be managed to maintain a balance is provided in the section on Natural resources, while there is a detailed discussion about the strategies to regulate the leading aspects of unhealthy competition in the later sections).

The environment with which we interact is highly complex, with different elements being inter-connected in a way that even the slightest alteration or disturbance is felt all across the arena. Natural phenomena are the ones responsible for maintaining the equilibrium, while making any adaptation if necessary. Once again, there is a limit beyond which things are no longer manageable. This specifies the Elastic limit for the Surrounding. (In practice, how close a society is to this limit can be measured every year by comparing how much of nature’s resources it uses with how much nature regenerates in that year (first area by area, and then combined into one overall report that takes into account the score of each area); using more than nature regenerates means that the limit is being crossed.) In our society, the dominative strategies along with a disturbed balance between desire and necessity have led to an intentional breach of this limit.
